The public is invited to join St. Anne’s Episcopal Church’s Summer Adult Forum, a discussion-based gathering led by parishioners, at 11:30 a.m. on Sundays, Aug. 23 and 30, at St. Anne’s in Church Circle in Annapolis, Md. The group meets at the back of the sanctuary after the 10 a.m. service.
On Aug. 23 forum participants will explore “Job and the Speeches from the Whirlwind” from the biblical book of Job. On Aug. 30 they will talk about “Leading a Good Life,” based on the “Wisdom literature” of the Old Testament books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Job.
Discussions follow Yale Divinity School’s free online curriculum, which explores topics covered in the Wisdom literature. The forum provides participants with an opportunity to engage in a balanced, thoughtful, open exchange of ideas and perspectives on how to live a life honoring God, our self, and others.
