Join Rabbi Dr. Joshua Shorr of Congregation Kneseth Israel on a day trip exploring Civil War history in Richmond, Virginia, with a focus on Jewish life in the Confederacy. Sites will include places such as Beth Ahabah, Hebrew Cemetery (the only Jewish military cemetery outside Israel), the Civil War Museum at Tredegar Iron Works, and Chimborazo Hospital (all subject to availability). Lunch will include a kosher box lunch from Char Bar (Washington, DC) with options. Transportation is by comfortable coach bus, departing and returning to the CKI parking.

Depart Congregation Kneseth Israel I promptly at 6:00 am (All on board at 5:45 am)
·        Beth Ahabah Museum & Archives and the Hebrew Confederate Cemetery (part of the oldest Jewish cemetery in the South and the only Jewish military cemetery outside of Israel)
·        American Civil War Museum at Tredegar Iron Works
·        Chimborazo Medical Museum at the site of the Civil War Hospital
Lunch in a picnic pavilion at Dorey Park, Henrico, VA
Return to Congregation Kneseth Israel by 7pm
