Readings: Selections from Thomas Aquinas’s Summa and Eva Brann’s lecture Liberal Education (delivered at Zaytuna College)

What is the relationship between liberal education and classical education? How do ancient approaches to knowledge and formation compare with modern interpretations? With Thomas Aquinas and Eva Brann as our guides, we will explore different visions of education and reflect on how they might inform our own teaching today.

Teachers joining us for our online Saturday seminar will meet from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. ET in a small, interactive class led by St. John’s faculty. The seminar will conclude with a conversation about the implications for educators working in diverse settings.
