Description

We're delighted to welcome back Jefferson Holland, Poet Laureate of Annapolis, for a special presentation on the history and sea shanties of the Chesapeake Bay for our April meeting. Mr. Holland brings a wealth of experience and passion to the topic — he previously served as Director of the Annapolis Maritime Museum and as Riverkeeper for the West River and the Rhode River. Get ready for lively stories, sing-along shanties, and a deep dive into the rich maritime heritage that shapes our beautiful region. You won’t want to miss this one!

Friday, April 10 at St. Margaret’s Church 1601 Pleasant Plains Rd., Annapolis. Join us for fellowship with coffee and refreshments starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by a brief business meeting and our featured speaker.

The American Antique Arts Association of Annapolis Chapter was formed on November 8, 1974. Orva Heissenbuttle formed the first chapter in Washington, D.C. in 1972 to provide an opportunity for collectors to learn more about American history and artifacts by increasing their knowledge of antiques, arts, crafts, and architecture.

Our meetings also include the history and origin of antiques from various places around the world which provide an opportunity to meet people with diverse and similar interests. Guests are welcome!
