Come join us at AND Gallery for a night filled with cinematic magic. Our film club is the perfect place for movie enthusiasts to gather, watch, and discuss films together. Whether you're a casual movie-goer or a die-hard cinephile, this event is for you!

What to Expect

Curated by our resident film nerds: Think surrealist masterpieces, haunting silent films with live musical accompaniment, and underground treasures that challenge perspectives and expand minds.

Of course, no proper film night is complete without popcorn and sips to fuel the experience and discussions.

October Screening: Häxan (1922) by director Benjamin Christensen

Join us at AND Gallery for a screening of Häxan (1922) — a film that blends a documentary style with some of the most deliciously morbid expressionist effects sequences of the silent film age.

Part scholarly dissertation, part horror film, this absolute masterpiece of early Scandinavian cinema will give us plenty to talk about afterward. As usual, we'll include a technical demonstration of the soundtrack creation process, along with drinks and snacks.

NOTE: This is the 1 year anniversary of the AND Creative Film Club!

Why This Movie Fits The Gallery

We're timing this screening to run alongside our Folklore & Folktales exhibit, so you can wander the gallery and take in the show before (or after) settling into the film. Two ways to get your goosebumps in one night — myth and memory on the walls, and a deep look into the history of witchcraft.

What will be waiting for you:

- Browse Folklore & Folktales in the gallery

- Settle in for a screening of Häxan

- As usual, we'll discuss the film afterward

We look forward to seeing you at AND Film Club!

WHEN: Friday, October 23rd

DOORS OPEN: 6PM
