Description

Step onto Pinkney Street and meet soldiers, camp followers, and musicians and experience the Revolutionary War through living history.

Learn how African Americans served on both sides of the conflict and explore the military equipment they used.

Discover the essential roles women played in military camps and hear fife and drum music that guided troops on the battlefield.

This program highlights service in integrated units such as the 1st Rhode Island Regiment, who shaped the fight for independence.

This is a drop-in style program. Visitors may join at any time during program hours and explore at their own pace through informal interaction and demonstrations. Advance registration recommended, but not required.
